Below are a number of frequently asked questions (FAQs) we get asked at the front desk. If your question is not answered here, please contact us directly.

Question: Does the hotel provide wireless internet connection?
Answer: Yes, we have a wireless connection within the premises of the hotel and it does not require a password.

Q. How far is the hotel from the airport?
A: It takes about 10 minutes to the airport.

Q. Do you provide complimentary shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and back?
A. Yes we do. No prior arrangement is necessary.  At the airport, watch for the shuttle bus with the Explorer Hotel logo on the side.  From the hotel, the shuttle schedule is located at the front desk.

Q. How far is downtown from the hotel?
A. It is less than a 5 minute walk to downtown from the hotel.

Q. Do you have smoking rooms in the hotel?
A. Yes we do, they are all situated on the second floor of the hotel.

Q. Do you allow pets in the hotel rooms?
A. Yes we do. All guests are more than welcome to bring their pets and can stay in a smoking room only. A CAD$20.00 charge is applicable to all guests with pets.

Q. Do you have an ATM and pop machines in the hotel?
A. An ATM machine and pop machines are available in the main lobby.

Q. Do you have standard rooms that have twin beds in them? Is there any price difference?
A. Standard rooms have either King or Queen (twin) beds for the same price.

Q. Do you provide cots/cribs in the room?
A. Yes we do, at no charge.

Q. Is the shuttle bus wheelchair accessible?
A. No it is not. 

Q. Do you have wheelchair accessible guestrooms?
A. Yes, we do. However, they are only available on the smoking floor.

Q. How old is the hotel? When was the most recent renovation completed?
A. The hotel was built in 1975 and has been renovated several times since then.  We completed at 60 room addition in 2008.

Q. Is breakfast included in the hotel price?
A. No it is not included but we do offer continental breakfast buffet as well as meals from the menu.

Q. What are some of the near by restaurants?
A. A couple great restaurants are Fuego’s and Le Frolic.  Please ask at the front desk for more information.

Q. Are your rooms equipped with kitchenettes?
A. No they are not, however we do offer fridges and microwaves in our junior suites.
